Happy holidays!

2016-famousreindeer-webI can’t believe how quickly 2016 has come and gone. And for another year, I am looking forward to saying goodbye t0 2016 once more.

2016 was another challenging year. My family and I lost the most wonderful soul in early September — my mom. Anyone who knows my mama, knows her as a kind and giving woman. But she was so much more than that. Our mama was the strongest woman we knew. She was hard working, taught us the best in life, gave us everything she had and loved us unconditionally. She was ever so giving and hilarious by nature. We miss her everyday, but with every single day I am more and more thankful that she is no longer in pain and is sleeping so peacefully. To say that I miss her is an understatement and I truly cannot wait until I see her once again.

2016 was also the year I fell in love for the very last time. I met this amazing man who shares so many of the same loves and values as I. He has been the kindest and most patient soul. I finally found my soulmate and someone I could see myself sharing my whole life with. He has quickly become a part of my family and a part of me and in turn, I have been so blessed with so much love from his family. Earlier this week, Jeff and I visited his sister, Shaunna, and her family in New York. It was a wonderful little getaway before we wrapped up the year and little did I know, I would return back to Vancouver with something wrapped around my finger, too.

Jeff, I’m so thankful for you. I’m so thankful for all the love you’ve shown my family and me. I can’t wait to start our life and grow together.

From my family to yours, I wish you the happiest of holidays. May your 2017 be filled with all the love and warm wishes to last a lifetime.

march mantra

My dad always told me that lemons are really oranges… who decided to become sour. He also told me that if I want something, to do it before it’s too late. Much like the lemons who decided to turn back into oranges.
